Juicy apples and plums baked under the crunchy oaty crumble topping. This apple and plum crumble is guaranteed to satisfy any appetite. Real autumnal treat!
Is it too late for plum recipes?? Although plums are late summer/early fall fruit I like my plum desserts any time of year. I am a huge fan of those easy-to-fix desserts, especially with a small baby in the house.
Since we have two plum trees in our backyard and each was bursting with juicy plums, I decided to make few plum desserts. First was very delicious Plum Crumb Cake, second was plum almond galette (not published yet :)) and on weekly basis we eat Dumplings with plums, and since I have written that crumble is on of my go-to desserts, I just had to use those juicy plums in a combinations with apples and make this really really good fall dessert.
The question is, is this actually a crip or a crumble?! Apparently the only difference is in the addition of rolled oats, crips has it, crumble doesn’t, but for me the name is totally insignificat, here is all about the taste, and this crumble tastes really, really good.
Let’s talk about another thing that is really important to me 🙂 -> vanilla ice cream on top! I just love when crumble is still warm, and ice cream melts and it’s creamines reach every bite!!!
